Red Lobster and Proud.

I had my ubiquitous soft boiled eggs in the morning.

We went to Red Lobster with some family and I was so proud.  I didn't have any of the appetizer, I didn't have any biscuits and I ordered lunch portion of the fresh rainbow trout and a double order of broccoli.  No rice and no potatoes.  I was so proud.  This restaurant lunch was 220 cal and 6 carbs.  Holla!

Last night

last night i had bell peppers, cucumbers, greek yogurt and more steak.

I was so impressed with my stats for the day especially since I didnt tally it up until the end.

946 cal, 29 carbs, 100 pro, 100 oz of water.  This was a stellar day.  I'm getting over the low-carb flu.  Feeling better today.

steak, cucumbers, greek yogurt

having steak, cucumbers, and some greek yogurt with ranch seasoning in it before work.  The cucumbers have the highest amount of carbs for my day so far.  Trying to get my carbs from veggies and the occasional fruit.  Feeling better craving wise today.

I have sliced cucumbers, bell peppers, baby carrots and raw mushrooms in the fridge ready for noshing.

pepperjack cheese sticks

had 3 softboiled eggs this morning.

trying to clean out the fridge and found some pepperjack cheese sticks.  spicy and good.

trying it low carb

still missing my iphone and therefore pics which stinks.  hopefully the replacement will arrive soon.

yesterday i had some steak (4 oz) and later a small ice cream because I was getting irritable.  I was trying to lube this low carb process along so I got a small ice cream (no cone) from chick-fil-a.  It had 50 carbs. I also got a large bowl of fruit which included some strawberries, grapes, oranges, and apple chunks.

Later I had the rest of my steak (2 oz) and picked the chicken out of my leftover stirfry.

I then had a strawberry gogi greek yogurt.

That seemed like a lot of food to me but I've been fighting sugar cravings in a bad way.  I did not have soda and I did not have jellybeans or peeps.

My weight has been going down slowly even with the reduction and awareness of my carbs.  I seem to be coming in higher than my proposed number of carbs each day but I'm sure that they are less than they were before so I will keep shooting for a low number but be ok if I go above it at this point.  I am realizing that although I didn't really think that I ate diet foods persay that even low fat dairy products have higher carbs in them than their full fat conterparts.  The realization of carbs in foods has been an eye-opener for me.

Onward in this lower carb plight.

Weird Sleep

I'm back on my backwards sleep schedule.  I had 3 soft-boiled eggs this morning (0 carbs).

I've had a fiber one yogurt (8 net carbs) and 1 serving of deli fresh turkey (2 carbs) so far.

Avoiding simple carbs

I'm having red bell pepper strips with feta dip in an attempt to avoid snacky carbs.  For some reason, I took a bite of mac and cheese.  At least it was only one and I went and found a healthy food instead of schoffing down the whole bowl of mac and cheese.  It is almost like my brain goes on auto-pilot sometimes.  Trying to stop that.

Night Owl

You may be like... She eats at weird times. This is true. I work at night and this meal for me at 3 pm is breakfast. There are many of us out there so if you are a night owl have comfort in the fact that I am too.
